Design Elements: Icon of Health
When it comes to health, there are a lot of components to consider: diet, physical activity, lifestyle habits, and the list goes on. And yet, when designing brand identities, simplicity is key. I chose two elements to concentrate the concept and feeling of health into a effective icon that clearly communicates the core value of wellness.
The Color Green
Every color draws us to make connections and to feel something. For instance, the color blue is often associated with calm settings such as a clear sky or still, open water. It is often described as peaceful, tranquil and secure and is chosen to give its audience feelings of stability and trust. The color green carries a heavy association with nature and with it the feeling of consistent growth and health.
The most straightforward image that communicates health is something that grows. Continuing this connection with nature, I chose two simple leaves to embody the feeling of wellness.
